Larry Scott, Jr.

Executive Pastor

Pastor Lawrence “Larry” Scott, Jr., is a native of Gary, Indiana. He came to Evansville in 2001 to attend the University of Southern Indiana and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2007.

Since being in Evansville, Pastor Larry has served in several social service roles in the community. He has worked with families and youth in the role of a Mentor, Substance Abuse Counselor and Case Manager for several years. Pastor Larry now holds the position as a trainer for foster and adoptive parents for the Department of Child Services.

Pastor Larry has served at several capacities in his 15 years at The ROCK Church including A/V, Praise and Worship, Leadership, Ministerial Staff, ROCK Global Outreach Board Member and in any area he is needed. Pastor Larry was licensed as a Minister under the Showers of Inspiration International Fellowship in November 2013. He was then ordained under The ROCK Global Outreach Ministries as a Prophet in June 2018. Pastor Larry was appointed Executive Pastor over the Rock at Evansville campus in 2020. Pastor Larry received his training and gleaned from the dynamic teaching and ministry of Pastor Levon and Prophetess Shanese Dozier.

Pastor Larry has a yearning for God's people and seeing them reach their full potential in God. He lives by the motto, "If only for the one, it's all worth it." Pastor Larry can always be seen in the ministry or in his workplace providing Godly counsel and wisdom or motivating others to tap into their unrecognized strength and God given ability.

At home, Pastor Larry is a loving husband to his beautiful wife, Natasha Scott, and father to 4 precocious daughters; Alaya  (10), Moriah (9), Zaiah (7), and Reanna (4).  

Pastor Larry has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Southern Indiana, with major in Psychology. He also holds a Masters of Human Services Counseling: Marriage & Family from Liberty University, and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Community Care & Counseling through Liberty University.

Melissa Watts

Pastor

Pastor Melissa Watts is our Youth Pastor and has served in our youth department, Climate Changers, since 2014. She is a native of Gary, Indiana and moved to Evansville in 2004, where she attended the University of Southern Indiana and received her degree as a Respiratory Therapist. Since becoming a member of The ROCK in 2007, Pastor Watts has served in several leadership roles and ministries which led to her becoming a licensed minister in 2013 and an ordained Pastor in 2018. Pastor Watts has a God-given burden for the youth and it is her desire to see this generation on fire for God and walking in their true identity by creating a culture where they can learn about Christ, live for Him, and have fun doing so.


Jalen Chestnut

Evangelist

Evangelist Jalen Chestnut is a native of Evansville, IN, married to his wife Dionna Chestnut, and the father to 4 enthusiastic children. Evangelist Jalen was licensed as a minister in 2013 at the age of 19. Evangelist Jalen transitioned to The Rock at Evansville in 2014 and has been serving there in many capacities since that time. During this time Jalen graduated from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science in University Studies with a minor in Religious Studies.  Evangelist Jalen was then ordained into the office of Evangelist in 2021.  He now leads The Rock at Evansville's outreach and evangelism team.  Evangelist Jalen’s primary goal is to equip each saint on how to share the Gospel with the world and to make disciples of all nations. Evangelist Jalen currently works as a Deputy Sheriff for the Warrick County Sheriff's Office. Evangelist Jalen lives by a personal mantra: "Having a heart for the lost means you love people enough to go like Jesus said, and to share The Gospel with them. Having this mindset keeps you from being just another church on a street corner." 


Travis Johnson

Minister

Travis Johnson is a minister and deacon here at RGOM.  For over 13 years, he's faithfully served and held various leadership positions.  He currently leads our Men's Department and oversees our Audio/Visual Department.  This team focuses on spreading the good news online by streaming services live on Facebook and YouTube.

Travis describes himself as the husband of one wife, father of two sons, and servant of one King.  In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and family adventures.


Tasha Garcia-Starks

Minister

Tasha Garcia-Starks currently serves as the women’s ministry leader of RGOM women’s department, The Daughters of Destiny. Her passion and desire is to see women healed, whole, and walking in their purpose. She has been a member of RGOM since 2012. In 2015, she started and led ‘The King and I’ single mothers ministry. In 2019, she went through the School of the Prophets and also serves as one of the prophets in the RGOM network.


Unique Johnson

Worship Leader

Unique Johnson has been the praise and worship leader here at RGOM since 2020. She is passionate about seeing God being exalted in such a way that all who come to worship will encounter Christ and His life-changing presence. Her passion for worship is fueled by her longing to see the glory of God return amongst the church, for her generation’s heart to be on fire, and for God to have His way. Over the past 12 years, Unique has served and held various leadership positions including intercessory prayer, children’s ministry, and youth ministry.

Unique is wife to Minister Travis Johnson and they have two sons, Isaac and Stephen.
